After 3 years of hard work I have finally finished my degree, and here’s some of the highlights from the Curious degree showat the Truman Brewery on Brick Lane to prove it!

Firstly here’s Charlotte Harrison’s project - Talking Proper

“Experience the excitement of your voice being carried to a visible pen movement on a piece of paper. Tracking your voice’s rhythms, peaks and troughs as you mimic some of the most famous and strongest British accents. Each sheet displays a ready-made blueprint for your imitation to plot over. The graphic output allows you to directly compare your imitation with that of the blueprint.”

Livia Rossi - Temporal Symmetry
“Setting up playful situations for people to interact within, I aim to make the mechanism of temporally tuning into each other more visible.” I love Livia’s three-way balloons.

This cute model was made by Desmond Wong as part of his “I’m Bored of This Waiting Game” project.
“I have designed place physical ‘triggers’, which encourage those who are waiting to discover new relationships with those around them.”

My lovely friend, Avril O’Neil - Machines to Induce the Automated
“The project intends to encourage a more explicit understanding of our ‘hidden’ self. By challenging perceptions of the bodies’ functionality, our curiosity exposes the potential for entertainment.” This is her perpetual yawning machine. You put your head in the holder and watch the videos of people yawning until it makes you yawn. The machine captures your yawn and adds it to the loop.
